Later this page will be replaced by a pretty web page.  Sorry for the austerity.  Also sorry for any spelling mistakes.  I have been in France for 14 years and sometimes I have a hard time remembering where to put one L or two SSs.

We have created this internet server to be able to share pictures and family stories.  Basically the current annual cost is about 95 $ (for the server and the domain maintenance -- and which the French Shopes donated for 2001 and 2002 and for which we would be very happy to have donations for the following years).  There is no additional user cost.  This includes all the disk space we need, as many personal e-mails as we need with the following structure : david@shope-family.com or france@shope-family.com .  Once you have your e-mail you will have a personal access to change the password or redirect the mail to an existing address.  You can also just use the webmail that is on the server at www.shope-family.com/webmail.   Kids get a kick out of this one and you don't have to spend time configuring anything since it works in a browser.   It will be first come first serve.   It also includes a mailing list everyone@shope-family.com.  If you send a mail to this list, everyone that has subscribed to the list will receive a copy of the mail.   Only e-mails that belong to the list can use the list in order to avoid wackos from sending us publicity.  Finally, it includes ,a private access for each user so that you can have full access to publish and change your pages.  The site will be available at www.shope-family.com/~<mailname>.

So how do you sign up?  Just send me a mail !!!

This is cool, but my last name isn't Shope could you create the same server with my family name?
